to use EasyDisk?
1.Plug
EasyDisk into the USB port, then you can find the "Removable
Disk" in "My Computer".

Double click "Removable Disk" to access EasyDisk

You are free to operate all the files in your EasyDisk just
as that in the local hard disk .

Write-protect Lock:
When the switch is in the state of unlock, you can carry out
all kinds of operations such as write, format, change password
etc. You can only read the files in it when EasyDisk is locked,
which can prevent your data from being erased by accident.

Encrypt EasyDisk:
Note: Please keep the password in your mind after encryption,
in case password forgotten, EasyDisk must be low-level formatted.
All information in EasyDisk will be lost. Please refer to
8 for low-level format method.
a.
Double click the "Passid" file (If this file not found, please
copy it from directory "Utility\uti_dir" in CD Driver
to EasyDisk.) or the Key icon in the bottom taskbar, press
the "Yes" button in the prompted window.

b.
Input your password into "New Password" bar, and reenter password
into "Confirm New Password" to confirm it (the password can
be consisted of letters, figures, underlines, spaces and all
other characters on the keyboard, length of password can be
up to 20 digits).

c.
Press "Apply" button to confirm the password. You will be
asked to input the password every time when accessing EasyDisk.

How to use password?
a.
Insert EasyDisk into USB port, open "My Computer" and double
click " Removable Disk" and access to EasyDisk.

b.
Double click "Passid" or double click the key icon in the
bottom taskbar, input your password into the blank of "Password" to access EasyDisk.

Decode your EasyDisk:
a.
Double click "Passid" or double click the key icon in the
bottom taskbar, select "Change Password"(Refer to the above
picture).
b.
Input your password in the blank of "Old Password".

c.
Don't input any word into the blanks of "New Password" and
"Confirm New Password"
d.
Press "Apply" button, an information bar will prompt, press
"Ok".

Low-level formatting function:
When
you forget the password or need to clear all files in EasyDisk,
you can use Low-level formatting function.Note: Low-level
formatting function will delete all files in EasyDisk.
You
can operate as following:
a.
Run the "UDReset" file under the folder named "Utility" in
CD Driver, a DOS window occurs automatically, press "Y" then
click any key. Pull EasyDisk out of the USB port (you can
ignore this operation if your EasyDisk is unencrypted).

b.
You can choose one of the two ways to format your EasyDisk
:
I.
Enable your EasyDisk password:
Insert
EasyDisk and run the "Mformat" file under the folder named
"Utility", select "Quick" and "Enable Password Feature" then
press "Start" button, exit the procedure once the operation
is finished. Note : The password of EasyDisk will be the original
one "1111' , you have to input the original password "1111"
when using EasyDisk.

II.
Disable password function:
Insert
EasyDisk and run the "Mformat" file under the folder named
"Utility", just select "Quick" then press "Start" button,
after that please exit the procedure.

to make the bootable EasyDisk?
You should use the low-level formatting command to make
bootable EasyDisk (refer to 8), please backup your files
and data in the EasyDisk before you making the bootable one
in case losing it.
a.
Windows 98/SE/ME Operating System:
a).
Run the “UDReset"file under the folder name of
“Utility"
in Driver CD, a DOS window occurs automatically, press “Y"
then click any key. Unplug EasyDisk out of the USB port (you
can ignore this operation if your EasyDisk is unencrypted).
b).
Insert EasyDisk again and run the “Mformat"file under the
folder name of “Utility”, select “Quick"and “Make bootable
disk” then press “Start"button and exit the procedure
, now your EasyDisk becomes bootable with other function not
changed.
b. Windows 2000/XP Operating System:
a). Format a bootable
3.5"floppy disk under the operating
system of Windows XP/ 98 /SE( Windows 2000 does not work as
well). Then copy the file of 3.5"floppy disk to the Driver
folder named “Utility/UTI_DIR”.
b).
Run the “UDReset"file under the folder name of “Utility"
in CD Driver , a DOS window occurs automatically, press “Y"
then click any key. Pull EasyDisk out of the USB port ( you
can ignore this operation if your EasyDisk is unencrypted).
c).Insert
EasyDisk again and run the “Mformat"file under the folder
name of “Utility”, select “Quick"and “Enable Password Feature"
( do not need to select it under Windows 2000 ) and “Make
bootable disk "then press “Start"button and exit the procedure
, now your EasyDisk becomes bootable with other function not
changed.

c.
Once EasyDisk becomes bootable, it will be the Drive A while
floppy Drive will be Drive B under DOS.

How to use the bootable EasyDisk?
Note:
EasyDisk only work as bootable one properly under the system
whose BIOS support USB device booting function.
Insert
the bootable EasyDisk into the USB port, and change the system
setting "First Boot Device"into "USB-ZIP”, then EasyDisk
can boot your system now.

How to use EasyDisk under the DOS system?
Once your EasyDisk is bootable , then you can use it
under DOS system ( EasyDisk is Drive A while floppy disk
will be
Drive B).
Note:
When using the “Mformat"command to make the bootable EasyDisk, if you select “Enable password feature”, then you can only
read files in EasyDisk under DOS system instead of writing
in it ( because it is password protected). As for you have
to select “Enable password feature"when you use “Mformat"
to make bootable EasyDisk under Windows XP, so you can only
read the file in the bootable EasyDisk which was made under
Windows XP and can’t write files into it .
